Seaglass Forest Art – Unique Coastal Gift for Beach Lovers

This piece began on the beaches of Cyprus, where I carefully collected each fragment of sea glass and every smooth pebble over time. The pale aqua seaglass at the base has been naturally shaped and softened by the Mediterranean Sea, tumbled by waves until it became velvety and frosted. The sandy-toned pebbles and the round stone “moon” were also found along the shoreline, each one chosen for its shape, balance, and quiet character!

Back in my studio, I thoughtfully arranged these treasures into a minimalist coastal landscape. The layered green seaglass pieces form two stylized trees, their organic shapes giving them a whimsical, storybook feel. Beneath them, smooth beach stones create a gentle shoreline, while the soft blue seaglass suggests water, translucent and glowing when it catches the light.

This artwork celebrates simplicity, calm, and the natural beauty of found materials. Every element has been shaped by nature first, then carefully composed by hand into a peaceful island scene. No two pieces of seaglass are ever the same, making this artwork truly one of a kind!

The last two photos were taken under direct sunlight to show how the sea glass transforms with light, becoming brighter, more luminous, and beautifully translucent as the sun passes through it. The changing light reveals the depth and character that only genuine, sea-tumbled glass can offer.
