Description
This one-of-a-kind framed artwork began along the shores of Cyprus, where I carefully gathered each piece of seaglass, shell, and stone over time. Every fragment has been naturally shaped and softened by the Mediterranean Sea, tumbled by waves and warmed by the island sun. I collected them slowly and mindfully, appreciating their imperfect edges, subtle colors, and the quiet stories they carry from the shoreline!
Once home, I thoughtfully arranged these treasures into a whimsical botanical composition. The amber seaglass pieces became delicate flower petals, while smooth pebbles formed charming details, including a tiny snail companion resting on a miniature wooden table. I combined these natural elements with my own hand-drawn botanical illustrations, layering fine inked leaves and stems to create a harmonious blend of nature and art. The dotted flight path of a small bee adds a playful sense of movement, as if the scene were paused mid-buzz on a warm coastal afternoon.
The final piece is framed to complement its soft, organic tones and rustic character. The last two photos were taken under direct sunlight to show how the seaglass transforms with light, glowing warmly and revealing its depth, texture, and natural translucency. This artwork is truly unique, shaped by the sea, inspired by Cyprus, and finished by hand with love and imagination!
