Minimalist Coastal Art – Pebble & Seaglass Scene with a Cute Bird Holding a Flower

This one-of-a-kind artwork began on the beaches of Cyprus, where I carefully collected each pebble, shell, and piece of seaglass over time. The smooth oval stone that forms the little figure was naturally shaped by the Mediterranean Sea, softened by years of waves and sun. The frosted seaglass at the base, gently curved and translucent, was also found along the shoreline, tumbled smooth by the water until it became velvety to the touch!

The delicate shell that forms the flower was discovered among the sand and rocks, its natural pattern and soft neutral tones preserved beautifully by nature. A small piece of green seaglass became a single leaf, adding a fresh pop of coastal colour. Back in my studio, I carefully arranged these treasures into a simple, whimsical scene, a tiny character standing on a seaglass “shore”, holding up a flower as if offering it to the sun.

Fine hand-drawn details bring the piece to life, adding gentle movement and personality while keeping the design minimal and serene. This artwork celebrates storytelling through natural materials, each element first shaped by the sea, then thoughtfully composed by hand!

The last two photos were taken under direct sunlight to show how the sea glass transforms with light, glowing more brightly and revealing its beautiful translucency and texture when illuminated.

Every piece is completely unique, as no two beach finds are ever the same!
